Comparisons of Herbicides Claiming to be Organic

As any consumer will tell you there is a plethora of products now in the market place claiming “Organic” status. This is not a fair representation to the consumer and we hope the chart below will qualify some issues for you. We are frequently asked about differences between our products and other products claiming to be organic. The fact is, according to our EPA Approved label, Weed Pharm Label pdf Weed Pharm is a “FOOD GRADE ORGANIC ACID” for use against herbaceous weeds and grasses. The Organic Community and those wishing to reduce chemical exposure to synthetic herbicides, have been waiting for this product ever since Dr. Catherine Daniels, Extension Specialist, Washington State University, wrote this article http://aenews.wsu.edu/Oct02AENews/Oct02AENews.htm  in 2002.

Herbicides containing vinegar as an active ingredient are required to be registered with the EPA. Herbicides claiming vinegar as an inactive or inert ingredient are required to have vinegar in less than 8% strength. All these unregistered vinegar herbicides claiming vinegar as an inert ingredient have been de-listed (removed) from the OMRI Listed Approved Product Database.

The following table and links are designed to explain some of those differences:
